Measures to ensure effective implementation of Minority schemes

Principal Secretary Minorities Welfare, Raymond Peter has planned to take important decisions to ensure effective implementation of minority schemes in the state and to eliminate the role of middlemen.

To consult in this regard he will convene a meeting of minority public representatives and religious leaders on June 11 in which public and religious representatives of Muslim, Christian, Sikh and Parsi communities will participate.

Government sources told that principal secretary has prepared a list of 30 public and religious representatives who would be invited for the meeting. The meeting aims at comparing the problems faced by the minorities of the state with the schemes provided by the government so as to asses how far the present schemes are successful in resolving the problems faces by minorities. Principal Secretary plans to make the services online so that role of middlemen is eliminated and to put a curb on corruption and bribery.
