MDU to beef up security for girl students, women staff

The Maharshi Dayanand University administration has decided to beef up security measures for its girl students and women employees to ensure a safe and secure environment for them.

The measures will be an addition to the already existing arrangements like CCTV cameras in girls’ hostels, Vice Chancellor R P Hooda said, adding any indiscipline in the campus will not be tolerated.

More efforts will be made to inculcate gender sensitivity among students and a dedicated programme for the purpose will soon be launched by the university, Hooda added.
