Disappointed by the ‘ disobedience ‘ of Managing Director, APSMFC over a host of issues, the minorities welfare department (MWD) has set the wheels in motion for his surrender to his parent department.
According to the Sources from MWD , Mohammed Hashim Shareef, managing director AP State Minorities Finance Corporation (APSMFC) last month conducted a joint press conference with Setwin officials announcing training programmes for youth without the consent of the department. Shareef had also attended programmes of the National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation in Delhi and Bangalore keeping the commissioner of minorities welfare Shaik Mohammed Iqbal and MWD special secretary Syed Omar Jaleel in the dark.
Though the Setwin-APSMFC deal called-off ,he insubordination of Shareef was noted by the secretary and issued two memos to him with the instruction that all official procedure and decisions be routed through the minorities commissionerate, but he has ignored them. According to the higher authorities.
Shareef had failed to call for tenders while setting up the office of the minorities commissionerate. He also failed to hand over funds meant for disbursement l of loans to candidates to the district collectorate. “An oral order was given to Shareef to handover the funds to the collector. This also has not happened so far,the source said. He has been working without fear or favor which is against the memo issued last month stating that the commissioner was the head of the department” ,the source added.
MWD special secretary Syed Omar Jaleel remained unavailable for comment.
