Australian fast bowling legend Glenn McGrath believes that paceman Mitchell Starc shouldn’t get distracted by the criticisms against him and should instead use them as fuel to prove his doubters wrong.
The left-hander received scathing remarks in the first Test against India in Brisbane last year and was labeled as ‘soft’ by spin legend Shane Warne.
McGrath said in his autobiography ‘Test of Will’ that a fast bowler can use the criticism to his advantage if he ignores the headlines and outcry that come out because of poor performance, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
The three-time World Cup winner also said that although Starc knows his ‘one-day game inside out’, he said that the left-hander still needed to develop his red-ball game. (ANI)
