MCD Doctors ask Delhi, Centre to bailout city’s municipal corporation

New Delhi: Amid prevailing chaos in the national capital due to striking MCD employees, Municipal Corporation Doctor’s Association has written a letter to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asking state and Centre to bailout MCD from financial crunch.

The Municipal Corporation Doctor’s Association is also likely to move Delhi High Court asking for their services to be transferred from MCD to Delhi Government.

The municipal employees have been protesting against the non-payment of salaries since last Wednesday, leading to a complete standstill of municipal services including sanitation, primary health and primary education.

The strike snowballed into a crisis when MCD school teachers also joined the agitation from Monday.

On Sunday, Delhi Ministers, AAP MLAs and hundreds of party workers hit the streets to clear overflowing garbage dumps. (ANI)
