HYDERABAD: AICC General Secretary Digvijaya Singh was booked by police here on Monday over his alleged tweet comparing Muslim Madrasas (seminaries) with RSS-run Saraswati Sishu Mandirs organisation.
A complaint in this regard was lodged by Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) leader Amjed Ullah Khan, said Dabeerpura police Inspector C Venkanna Naik.
The MBT leader in the complaint said, “Digvijaya Singh’s remarks have hurt the sentiments of the Muslim community as Madarsas are schools of learning of Islamic education where students are taught various aspects of Islam and modern education including the State official language like Telugu, Marathi, Odhiya and other languages.’
In his post on a social networking site on February 22, Singh allegedly equated the schools run by the madrasas and RSS, saying that both spread “hatred”.
Is there a difference between Madarsas and Saraswati Shishu Mandir Schools run by RSS ? I don't think so. Both spread Hatred.
