MBT to organise 19th jalsa Milad un Nabi tomorrow

Hyderabad, February 18: To mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh), the Majlis Bachao Tahreek will be organising the 19th “Jalsa Milad Un Nabi” on February 19 at Moghalpura ground, here from 8.30 pm.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Thursday, the MBT acting president, Mr Adam Malik, said that his party has been organising the event every year since its inception in 1993 by late Mohd Amanullah Khan. It aims to preach the traditions and teachings of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) and to promote unity among various sects of Muslim community. Apart from this, it also intends to spread the messages of love, peace, unity and fraternity among all citizens, so as to ensure tolerance, mutual respect, brotherhood and communal harmony, the basic essence of Islam.

Mr Malik said that Mr Allama Azher Ul Quadri of Bihar will be the chief guest. Mr Syed Durvesh Moinuddin Quadri, religious head, will deliver inaugural address. The All India editor of Rashtriya Sahara, an Urdu daily, Mr Aziz Burney, Mr Abdul Sattar Hamdani from Gujarat, the former vice-chancellor of IGNOU, Prof. Basheer Ahmed Khan, Dr Hafeez-ur-Pasha of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Mr Nayeem Akhtar from Madhya Pradesh and Mr Altaf Zia of Maharashtra would also speak.

The local corporator, Mr Amjadullah Khalid, the general secretary of the Sunni Ulema, Mr Maulana Hasan Siddiqui, and the senior leaders of MBT, Dr Jarrari, Mr Sikander Mirza and Mr Maulana Mahmood, were also present.
