A delegation of Majlis Bachao Tahreek led by Dr. Qayam Khan called on Governor Mr. ESL Narsimhan at Raj Bhawan and submitted a memorandum to President which stated that the 400-year-old Babri Masjid was demolished in 1992 but no action has been taken against the demolishers so far. It was demanded in the memorandum to reconstruct the Masjid at the same place and bring the Sangh Parivar which was involved in the demolition to account.
The memorandum also demanded action against political leader indulged in communalization of politics and put a ban on political leaders spreading religious hatred. Governor ESL Narsimhan read the memorandum carefully and assured that the demand would be conveyed to President of India Mr. Pranab Mukherjee.
