MBA student comes under lorry, dies

Hyderabad, October 23: An MBA student, who was on his way to drop his younger brother at school, was crushed under a lorry at Banjara Hills on Thursday.

The student’s bike was hit by a car, following which he fell and came under the wheels of a lorry, the police said. The victim’s brother managed to escape with minor injuries.

According to the police, the victim, Mohd Mustafa Ahmed (21), was pursuing MBA from Geetanjali College at Madhapur. He was a resident of Singadikunta in Banjara Hills.

“Around 8.30 am, Mustafa set off to drop younger brother, Mohd Habeed Ahmed, a class VI student at St Alphonsos School on Road No 8, Banjara Hills on his motorcycle. As they reached Road No 10, a Santro car coming from behind, hit the motorcycle,” Banjara Hills police sub-inspector D Ramesh said.

The police took the Santro car driver, Pradeep Dev Varma, and the lorry driver, Singhania, into custody and are investigating the case. A case under Section 304-a (rash and negligent driving) was registered against the car and lorry driver.
