Hyderabad, April 24: A two-day executive meeting of the All-India Council of Mayors is going to be inaugurated here on April 24 by Chief Minister K Rosaiah.
Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy, the Vice- Chairperson of the AICM, said Mayors of 34 cities in the country besides 14 from the State will grace the meet – a tri-monthly event hosted by various cities by turns. The main theme will be `expanding cities and challenges ahead’.
Solid waste management, pollution, urban development and parking problems, among other things, would come up for discussion. The civic heads would make powerpoint presentations on the development in their respective cities. The AICM’s last executive meeting was held at Ghaziabad.
