Mayor inspected 400 yr old historic shrine at Moulali

GHMC Mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain, along with Charminar MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri, MLC Syed Altaf Hyder Razvi, Noorkhan bazaar Corporator Mirza Riyaz Ul Hassan Effendi and senior officials of the GHMC have visited and inspected Moulali Kaman and 400 years old historic shrine on the top of the hill of the Moulali on Tuesday.

After the inspection Ahmed Pasha Quadri has briefed the media that most of the pilgrims of the Country and abroad have given various representations to provide ramp to the top of the hill as most of the pilgrims are facing lot of inconvenience while climbing on the top of the hill. Keeping in view of the above the visit has been conducted today.

Mayor has directed the Additional Commissioner (Planning), Engineer-in-Chief and Chief Engineer to visit the area again and to prepare the estimates within 10 days to place before the Standing Committee as the first phase has been finalized which starts from Khushal Khan Kaman to Aashur Khana, Azrath Abbas Neem bada. The second phase which required lot of technical assistance due to steep rocks, the Officers were instructed to look in to in detail and to prepare estimates as soon as possible so as to take up a decision in this regard.

Majid Hussain stated that the work will be taken up in two-phases, basing on the estimates and the approximate expenditure the matter will be place before the General Body to accord sanction. While on inspection at Neem Bada he has observed lot of fungus have been formed in the holy pond and directed the concerned officials to take up proper cleaning for the convenience and utilization of the pilgrims.

Old Malkajgiri Corporator Y Prem Kumar, Additional Commissioner (Planning) K Dhanunjay Reddy, Engineer-in-Chief Dhan Singh, Zonal Commissioner (North) N Hari Krishna, senior officials of GHMC and various religious leaders of the locality and local representatives have participated in the visit.
