Mayor appeals to citizens to worship clay Ganesha idols only to make city pollution free

Hyderabad: GHMC Mayor Dr B. Rammohan and Commissioner Dr B. Janardhan Reddy have appealed to the citizens of the twin cities, NGOs, RWAs, colony associations and households to use clay idols of Lord Ganesha to curb pollution and help make Greater Hyderabad a pollution-free city.

Stating that since the last two to three years the citizens were using clay Ganesha idols during Ganesh Chathurthi celebrations, the Mayor and the Commissioner appealed everyone to come forward to celebrate the ensuring festival with clay Ganesha idols this year also without using POP and other materials for Ganesha idols to curb pollution in city.

Popular numerologist Daivagna Sharma presented clay Ganesha idols to the Mayor and the Commissioner and appealed to the citizens to use clay Ganesha idols only during the ensuing Ganesh Chathurthi festival this year.
