Hyderabad: GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan on Monday expressed his deep condolence over the death of GHMC Outsourcing Sweeper Komaramma in a road accident while on duty.
The victim, Komaramma, was killed on the spot after she was hit by a RTC Bus at Amberpet in the early hours of Monday. A case of negligent driving has been booked against the RTC driver. On information, GHMC officials visited the spot and consoled the family members of the deceased.
Addressing a press conference later, the Mayor said that the victim’s family would get insurance of Rs. 5 lakh and Rs. 2 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. He said another Rs. 2 lakh would be given from the Mayor’s Fund. He said talks with the RTC management were on for the sanction of ex-gratia from RTC side. (INN)
