Lucknow, February 09:UP Chief Minister Mayawati today ordered disciplinary action against six officials, including Kanpur divisional commissioner, for laxity in works which came to light during her surprise inspection of two districts.
“The CM carried out surprise inspections in Kanpur and Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar districts to review progress of development works, implementation of welfare schemes, state of essential services and law and order situation,” a government spokesman said here.
During the review of law and order and welfare schemes Mayawati ordered immediate transfer of commissioner of Kanpur division, in which both the districts fall, for slack supervision and laxity in works.
Taking a serious note of poor and incomplete construction work in Ambedkar village Niwada Bhaggi in Kanpur, she ordered suspension and departmental action against the PWD executive engineer concerned.
