Maya, Mamata strive for Third Front

Lucknow: BSP Supremo Mayawati in a meeting with officials and workers of the party made it clear that it is being rumoured against her that she has made an alliance with the Samajwadi party to save party’s existence. She said the alliance has been made to retain country’s secular system. There’s no personal gain involved in it. She said she will also try to include Congress and other secular parties in the alliance to defeat BJP.

Mayawati claimed that NDA allied parties are distancing themselves from the NDA, because of lies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BSP Supremo explained that her party will not totally involve in the next bye-elections, instead will campaign to bring together people of the society. She said BJP and RSS defeated her party’s candidate in Rajya Sabha so that SP BSP alliance could break. The candidate was defeated only because he belonged to Dalit class. BJP used wealth, government missionary and other methods only to see that no Dalit person could gain entry into Rajya Sabha.

Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has reached Delhi on her 4-day visit. She will meet opposition parties in Delhi. According to sources, she can also meet former Congress president and UPA Chief Sonia Gandhi. Her visit is considered important for the creation of Third Front.
