Kochi, September 22: Seventeen years since his disappearance, a CBI court here will deliver the verdict in the murder of progressive Islamic cleric Chekanoor P K Mohammed Abdul Hassan Maulavi on Sept 29.
Maulavi went missing on July 29, 1993, after he left his home in Edapal in Malappuram district along with some unidentified persons to deliver a speech.
CBI took over the investigation of the case in 1996.
The trial proceedings have been completed in the case in which there are nine accused.
