Maulana Abdul Aleem Islahi who was ousted on Sunday last by Maulana Mohammed Naseeruddin from the 25-year old madrassa, Jameatul Banat, in a bitter tus sle for the control over the institution opened his own school for girls in Malakpet.
The new religious school to be called Ma drassa Jameatul Banaat Islahia will begin admissions soon. According to sources since Islahi was forced to quit the madrassa from where his two daughters had been sacked along with a few other teachers earli er, the idea of setting up a new school was floated.
With Islahi starting a new school the Sai dabadpolice,whichwereapprehendingtrou ble following mobilization of supporters by the two clerics, heaved a sigh of relief. Sourc es said that several students in Jameatul Ba nat, especially those who were in the hostel are likely to cross over to the new school.
