Aurangabad: Maulana Ghulam Mohamad Vastanvi has been removed from Board membership over alleged irregularities committed in transfer and lease of Waqf properties. He has been banned from contesting in the next election of the Board.
In an order issued on October 16, signed by Pradhan Secretary Shyam Tagde, it was stated that Maulana has been found guilty in Badshahi Mulla Masjid Trust lease case.
The action against Maulana is based on a complaint lodged by Shabbir Ansari, president of All India Muslim OBC Organisation Trust, to the principal secretary of the MDD on November 29, 2017.
Later the Minority Welfare Department issued orders in which the allegations were found to be true.
On September 21 Maulana Ghulam Mohammed Vastanvi will give a reply to the accusations made against him. Maulana has refuted the allegations and called it a conspiracy to frame him in false cases.
