Hyderabad, November 10: Maulana Azad was a forthright journalist. His journalism was invented by his own self. He was a trendsetter who taught the lesson of independence to the nation and community.
These views were expressed by Prof. S A Wahab Qaiser controller examinations at conference Hall administrative building Maulana Azad National Urdu University while addressing the debate on ‘Urdu journalism and current trends’. The debate was presided over by Prof. K R Iqbal Ahmed director Administration Distance Education while Mohammad Mustafa Ali Sarwari Head department Mass communication and journalism participated as a moderator.
The delegations of various newspapers and television channels representing their respective newspapers and TV channels reviewed various problems and trends in journalism. Mr. Imtiyaz Ali Taj from Doordarshan, Mr. Mubashir Sayeed from ETV, Sagheer Ahmed from Sakshi, Riyaz Ahmed from Munsif daily, Fazil Hussain Parvez from Gawah, Mr Hasan Farruq from Rahnuma-e-Deccan, Ayub Ali Khan from Times of India, Qayyum Anwar from Raj TV expressed their views in the debate.
The debate conducted by the department of Communication and Journalism, Manuu was participated by Prof. Mohammad Zafaruddin, Dr. Masood Ali Khan, Dr. Abdul Qayyum, Dr. Khalid Mubashir Zafar, Dr. Salma Ahmed Farooqui, Dr. Fareeda Siddiqui, Dr. Azeez Banu, Dr. Syed Najiullah and Mr. Abid Abdul Wasay.
