“A nation which doesn’t possess an ability of shielding itself cannot be protected by reservations. They cannot preserve mere words written on a piece of paper”
New Delhi: Born in 1888, Maulana Azad, leader of Khilafah Movement, while withholding Muslims from migration asked, “You will be called “Hindustani” which ever region you migrate to. Be it Bengal, Punjab, Sindh, or Balochistan. Won’t you be treated as a non invited guest?”
Marking a strong line of border between national and religious hostility, Maulana Azad said:
“Hindus can be your religious opposition but not your national opposition and you can deal with this situation”
“My dear national brothers, my question is that, if you cover a blooded dead body with silken cloth, will you be able to prove that it is not a dead body?” Azad explained through a specimen.
“A nation which doesn’t possess an ability of shielding itself cannot be protected by reservations. They cannot preserve mere words written on a piece of paper” he forewarned strongly.
“Can’t 10 Crore Muslims defend their rights in an independent and secular Nation?” Maulana canvassed, while advocating rights of minority.
