(Siasat News) Urdu University is conducting a four day programme on the occasion of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s Birthday which is being celebrated as “National Education Day” throughout the country.
A Cultrural programme for school children will be held at 11 a.m, on 10th November at DDE Auditorium. All India Majlis-e-Tameer-e-Millat is conducting a public meeting at 10.30 a.m. on Sunday 11th November at Gulshan-e-Khaleel, Masab Tank on the topic “Maulana Abul Kaleem Azad – Personality and works” Mr. Mohammed Ziauddin Nayyar, Acting President of Iqbal Academy will preside over the meeting. It will be addressed by various intellectuals.
Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Memorial Soceity is organizing a seminar on “Contribution of Maulana Azad in Indian Education” at 10 a.m. on Sunday 11th November at Salar Jung Museum Auditorium. It will be attended by Justice E-Ismail, former member of Human Rights Commission, Dr. A. The inaugural function of Maulana Azad Birthday Celebrations will beld at 5.30 p.m. on Thursday, 8th November at Urdu Ghar, Moghalpura. Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Director of Urdu Academy will preside over the inaugural function. Mr. Mustafa Ali Sarwari, (Urdu University) MR. Syed Habeebuddin Quadri (Editor Andhra Pradesh, Urdu Daily), Mr. Mohammed Azeemur Rahman (Editor, Viquar-e-Hind) will be guests of honour.
Mushaira would be held under the chairmanship of Dr. Farooq Shakeel. Elocution and Essay writing competition will be held at 12 noon on Saturday 10th November. Ms. Munawar Khatoon, Director of Ashraful Madaris is the convene of these literary competitions and Mr. Mohammed Khaja Aleemuddin is the Joint Convener.
