Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University is organizing Azad Day celebrations from 4th to 11th November under the patronage of Dr. Mohammed Aslam Parvaiz, VC and Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, Registrar of MANUU. Mr. Anees Ahsan Azmi, Chief Consultant, Center for Urdu Language, Literature and Culture is the Convener of the program.
VC will inaugurate the celebrations at 10:30 a.m. on 4th November at MANUU Model School. Dr. Kafeel Ahmed, Principal of the Model Schools is the coordinator. Sports competitions for students and staff will be held from 4th to 8th November. Dr. Mohammed Mazhar Qadri is the coordinator of the sports program. Cultural competition of the children of staff will be held on 5th and 6th November from 10 a.m. at DDE Auditorium. The children of the staff will stage the drama “Dadi Amma Maan bhi Jao” at 7 p.m. on 6th November at Open Air Theater of MANUU. At 2 p.m. on 7th November Antakshari program will be held for students in DDE Auditorium. Posters on “Salute to Mother Land” will be exhibited on 8th and 9th November. Dr. Amena Tehseen is its coordinator.
