A public meeting was organized by Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee Minority Institutions on the occasion of birth anniversary of Imamul Hind Maulana Abul Kalam Azad at a ground adjacent to Zillaparishad Girls High School, Bowenpally.
The function was presided over by Mr. Mohammed Abdul Firdous vice chairman Secunderabad cantonment. While Mr. B Shankar Rao former minister, Mr. Ayyub Khan Secretary Pradesh Congress Committee, Mr. Anwar Khan Anwarul Uloom College and Mr. Shaikh Mohammed Dilawar attended as chief guests. Mr. Saber Husain convened the function and termed Maulana Azad as a charismatic person.
Mr. P Shankar Rao said that Maulana Azad was born in historical city of Makkah he was a journalist, orator, poet, writer and also the academician. He served the nation as the first education minister.
