As declared by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao at an election meeting in Secunderabad Parade Grounds recently, the State government has allocated additional portfolio of Municipal Administration and Urban Development to Panchayat Raj IT Minister K Tarakarama Rao.
An order to this effect was issued by the State government here on Sunday in the name of the Governor of Telangana State.
It may be mentioned here that KTR, who was empowered to lead party “soldiers” in the GHMC “battle of ballot” by party supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, had relentlessly conducted the campaigning in the entire Greater Hyderabad city single-handed and won laurels from the citizens and party leaders alike.
While addressing the mammoth public meeting in Parade Grounds, an elated Chief Minister had announced that his party “star campaigner” in the GHMC elections will be assigned with the additional responsibility of Municipal Administration & Urban Development after the elections. (NSS)
