Matrimonial fraud cases on rise

HYDERABAD: Cases of matrimonial fraud are raising high. A person, who was working in Dubai was booked for cheating a woman from Hyderabad.

According to the times of India report, the victim registered herself on a matrimonial site for divorced persons and she came in contact with the accused, Praveen Kumar. They started chatting on social media for the past six months.

She also visited him in Dubai and stayed there for a month. During her stay, she found that the accused was chatting with another woman and maintained a relationship with her. She came back to India and approached the SHE Team which filed a cheating case.

In another case, a woman from Alkapuri registered herself on a matrimonial website after her divorced in 2017. Police said he promised her to marry and after gaining her trust, the accused took Rs 16.20 lakh on various occasions from her. The victim approached Narsingi police when he stopped taking her calls. Police arrested him and booked him on the charges of rape and cheating.

In yet another case, a software employee from Delhi lured a woman from Kondapur with his marriage proposal.
The victim came in contact with him on a matrimonial website. He asked her to fly down to Delhi to meet him once. When she arrived there he took her to his flat where he sexually exploited her.

When she came back he stops talking to her. After she found he was already married she approached the police. A cheating and rape case registered against the accused.
