Mastermind of Mathura violence found dead; body recovered

Mathura: Ram Briksh Yadav, the leader of self-styled cult group ‘Swadhin Bharat Vidhik Satyagraha’ and mastermind behind Mathura violence that ended up costing the lives of 37 people has been declared dead by the UP police.

Yadav was a resident of Raipur Baghpur village in Ghazipur district was killed among the other armed protesters.

The entire protest which began nearly 2 years ago was mastermind by Yadav.

“Ram Briksh Yadav’s body has been identified by his associates. His family has been intimated for final confirmation,” said Uttar Pradesh Police DGP Javeed Ahmad.

As per India.com, Uttar Pradesh police after completed identification of his body firmly asserted that the self-styled leader is no more.

The clashes erupted on Thursday when UP police, along with Mathura district administration launched the eviction of hundreds of acres of land of controversial Jawahar Bagh area reportedly occupied since April, 2014 by Yadav’s supporters.
