Film actress Neetu Agarwal, who is an accused in the red sanders smuggling case along with her husband who is a kingpin in the racket, on Sunday claimed that there is a “threat” to her life from the followers of smuggler Mastan Vali, and asked the govt to provide security.
Ms. Agarwal told the media at the Rudravaram police station on Sunday that she had no idea that her husband Masthan Vali was involved in the smuggling of red sanders. she said, “Mastan Vali had cheated me by using my bank accounts for conducting his illegal financial transactions.
Now, his brothers and other members of his family want to see me dead.” “I have a threat to my life. If anything [untoward] happens to me, the responsibility rests with Masthan Vali.
Claiming that she was innocent and was pushed into controversies by Mastan Vali, Agarwal expressed the confidence that she would be able to establish her innocence.
According to additional SP, Nitu Agarwal and Mastan were engaged in a slanging match right from the time the case was registered. It is suspected that the actress was making threat claims only to attract media attention.
