Massive Ticket Checking Drive Against Ticketless And Irregular Travel

Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway conducted a “Massive Ticket Checking drive against ticketless and irregular travel at Cherlapalli Railway Station o­n January 17, 2013.
A total of 515 persons were apprehended out of which 305 persons were found Travelling without Ticket and 106 persons were found travelling irregularly and 104 cases of un-booked Luggage were charged during the drive. A total amount of Rs. 1, 56, 551.00 was realized as Fare and Excess Charge.
These checks were conducted involving Ticket checking staff and Railway Protection Force. These checks are basically meant for eradicating ticketless and irregular travel and to make the journey of bonafide ticket holders comfortable. Passengers’ co-operation in this regard is highly solicited.” (NSS)
