Hyderabad: A massive fire broke out in the Rangareddy District Collector office located at Lakdi Ka Pul on Wednesday, in which video conference hall was gutted in fire. The fire broke out all of a sudden in the Conference Hall on first floor. Staff saw smoke emanating from it and within no time the fire engulfed the whole conference hall.
Two fire engines belonging to the city were called who succeeded in putting off the fire within two hours. The incident created panic in the collector office and the workers were evacuated unharmed.
Saifabad police told that the fire could have occurred due to short circuit. The detective department of the city police was also called on the spot. A case has been registered in this connection and investigations are underway.
