Massive cordon search operation in Old City: Police arrest 10 land grabbers and other criminals

Hyderabad: South Zone, Hyderabad City Police conducted a massive cordon search in Old City in the wee hours of yesterday in Chandrayangutta, Indira Nagar and Umda Hills Colony. The search was made from house-to-house. Ten land grabbers and other criminals were arrested.

The search was conducted under the supervision of DCP of South Zone, Mr. V. Satyanarayana in which 400 policemen including 3 Telangana State Police Force Platoons, 3 women police platoons participated. In the search operation, in all, 37 criminals were arrested which includes eight accused and 6 rowdy sheeters from Chandrayangutta, 8 rowdy sheeters of Falaknuma area.

Police also seized 45 motorcycles, 3 autorickshaws since they did not have the relevant documents. During the search operation, an addict thief, Mohammed bin Abdullah was also arrested who was required by the police. Police arrested 10 land grabbers.

It is reported that during the cordon search operation, Farzana and Mansoor allegedly attacked the Home Guard. ACP of Falknuma, Mr. Tajuddin Ahmed told that 10 land grabbers were arrested. He also told that this action was taken to maintain law and order. Such operations would also be conducted in the future.
