Mass marriages of 21 Sikh couples performed in city

Hyderabad: With blessings of the Almighty, it was a dream come true for 21 Sikh couples, who got married in a befitting manner without spending a rupee that too in the presence of over 25,000 Sikhs, who came from various parts of the State to bless the newly-weds, thanks to Gurudwara Saheb Ameerpet.

The happiest of them were the couples’ parents who never dreamt of their sons and daughters getting married in such a grand manner without any expenditure. They thanked Prabhandak Committee of Gurudwara Saheb Ameerpet, Sadh Sangat of Ameerpet under the preside ship of S Bhagender Singh and secretary S Surinder Singh and members S Narender Singh and others for making the impossible dream come true.

On Sunday, as many as 21 couples got married at “Samuhik Vivaha Samaroh” at Sri Guru Gobind SInghji Sports Ground, Ameerpet. Most of the brides and bridegrooms hailed from Hyderabad, Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Miryalaguda, Medak districts and Maharashtra, Karnataka and other states.

The Samuhik Vivaha Samagam started at 9.30 am with a colorful “Baraat” of bridegrooms on horses from Gurudwara Saheb Ameerpet to Sri Guru Gobind Singhji Sports Ground, Ameerpet.
The Prabhandak Committee made all arrangements like free accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea and snacks for last three days.
