Two arches have been discovered during excavation of a house adjacent to graveyard under Gujarati Shah Baba Dargah at Hasan Ali Guda. President Tameer-e-Millat and secretary Muslim Personal Law Board Mr. Abdur Raheem Qureshi has to say that it is actually a masjid as in the waqf board record a masjid is mentioned along with Gujarati Shah Baba dargah. On receiving the news of the arches being exposed our correspondent reached the spot. Telugu media persons also set their cameras in motion on listening to the rumour of excavation of treasure but as soon as the masjid and arches were uncovered they left the place as if nothing noteworthy had happened.
According to details, digging work was on in the house of a non Muslim person adjacent to graveyard. When a big boulder was broken, two labours fell 15 feet down. After further digging an old building was exposed and the arches became visible.
Owner of the house B Nirmala told that her house is built on 60 sqyd land and she is staying there for 22 years. Now she planned to construct an RCC house. She told that the arches are not of masjid but are of a well. But the fact is, the arches are in the direction of Qibla and a masjid adjacent to dargah is mentioned in Waqf gazette also. ASI official told that permission of construction will be granted after investigations.
