Communal elements are trying to take advantage of the tense situation of the city. Yesterday they targeted a masjid and desecrated it. The unfortunate incident occurred under Chatrinaka police station limits.
According to details miscreants targeted Masjid-e-Noor located at Arundhatinagar Colony. They not only desecrated it but also damaged the minaret, besides writings obnoxious statements on the wall.
Police immediately came into action and wiped off the offensive and obnoxious writings from the wall. On the compliant of president Masjid administrative committee Mohammed Obaid alias Pasha a case has been registered under section 295 and 153(A) of Indian Penal Code against the unknown persons.
