CPI leader Dr K Narayana today flayed the Centre for Medak Rail Accident that killed many school children.
Talking to mediapersons after consoling the students undergoing treatment at Yashoda Hospital here, the CPI leader alleged that the Centre should mend its ways and provide protection to people at railway level crossings.
Had the Railway department erected gates at unmanned level crossings, this type of accidents would not have occured, he said.
The CPI leader demanded that the Union Government give Rs 25 lakhs ex gratia to each of those deceased families.
