Hyderabad:Kidnap of a married woman created stir in Rajendranagar. The incident which came to light lately, exposed police’s alleged negligence. According to details Radhika, a 23-year-old married woman was kidnapped by some people who demanded Rs 3 lakh ransom for her release. The kidnappers also warned the family that they would sell her to Mumbai’s red light area if they failed to give the money.
The incident came to light following the circulation of her photograph on WhatsApp. Four police team have been set up. Radhika who was a resident of Yadava Reddy Colony, Upparpally, Rajendranagar left her house on Monday, to go to temple but did not return. Her husband, Mahesh Kumar, who works in an electronic showroom at Kothi registered a complaint with the police on Tuesday.
The woman’s husband suspected that the abductors might have known his family. The husband received a WhatsApp call on Friday from the kidnappers who demanded that he deposit Rs 3 lakh in a bank account. Photos of her with injuries and confined in inhuman condition were also sent.
Mahesh Kumar suspected that one Raju who was known to the woman through WhatsApp chat was involved in the incident.
