A woman in Greater Noida was charged with Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act after she allegedly held a 13-year-old boy hostage in her home near Delhi and hurt his genitals with hot tongs for resisting sex.
The accused woman is missing now. According to the teen’s mother the woman, a married neighbour, had repeatedly made sexual approaches.
Police said, “The married woman, possibly in her late 20s, had attracted the boy to her house in the afternoon when she was alone.”
A complaint was filed and the woman has been charged with hurting the boy with a weapon, wrongful confinement, kidnapping and criminal intimidation.
The woman has also been booked under the powerful Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
“The police are investigating the matter from all angles. The delay in approaching the police leaves several questions unanswered,” said police.
