The Cyber Crime Police exposed a racket run in the guise of Marriage Bureau. DCP DD Mr. Ranga Rao told this during a press conference. Police arrested a man and his woman aide. DCP told that 30-year-old A Bhaskar Rao and 34-year-old Tanuku Nirmala were arrested and Rs. 80 thousand cash a, cell phones and motor cycle were seized from their possession.
The duo would give matrimonial advertisement in the newspapers. As soon as a person would contact them they ask him to deposit Rs. 5000 in their account. Once the amount is deposited they would keep in touch with the customers for a week then they would change the contact number. The duo cheated nearly 180 customers to the tune of Rs six lakhs.
