Marriage among relatives leads to children specific diseases – Reports Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology

Hyderabad: There is a danger of children getting affected with child specific diseases if marriages are held within the nearest relatives of various families.

The children may get affected with specific genetic diseases. According to the study of the center, children may suffer from joint pains, cardiomyopathy etc. Every person undergoes many mutations and if he marries with a person having same mutations, it may cause serious recessive disease.

The scientists of CCMB found out with the new research study that people should get the tests done before marriages. Dr. Rakesh Mishra, Director of CCMB who led the research study told that India has 4 major populations, they are Indo-European, Dravidians, Austro-Asiatic and Tibeto-Burmese including Tribals.
