Congress senior leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy has demanded that the State government remove senior IAS officer Somesh Kumar from his services immediately instead of transferring him from GHMC Commissioner’s post.
Speaking to the media here on Saturday, Marri said his party would bury Somesh Kumar on its return to power. Demanding that the government initiate action against State Election Commissioner Bhanvarlal, Marri said 25,000 votes were removed only in Sanath Nagar constituency. Stating that he collected documentary evidence with regard to removal of votes from GHMC office, Marri challenged the State government to initiate action against him if it has guts.
Alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao got the votes deleted from the voters list with help of Somesh Kumar, Marri said his party submitted all the needed evidence in this regard to the Central Election Commission.
Speaking separately, TPCC chief official spokesperson Dasoju Sravan Kumar alleged that the Chief Minister filled his pockets with the money meant to labor and demanded KCR to answer to the people. Questioning KCR, who failed to protect government lands, Marri asked the Chief Minister how he would rule the State. He said Warangal by-election was the result of KCR’s political game plan. He said Somesh Kumar has become a scapegoat to the selfish politics of KCR. (NSS)
