Congress leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy has lashed out at the TRS government for getting the GHMC elections postponed by stating Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was trying to conduct GHMC elections during Sankranthi festival to ensure that the Seemandhra voters do not cast their votes.
Speaking to the media here on Monday, Marri alleged that KCR has divided the wards as he wished and demanded that the government postpone the issue of notification of wards division till Election Commission takes a decision on votes removal in greater Hyderabad. He said the government stepped back on increasing the number of wards thinking that the government may lose power of appointing co-opted members. He also demanded that the government divide the wards on population basis. (NSS)
