Marri Asks CM to Hold All-Party Meet on Watershed Program

Former Minister and Congress senior leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy has demanded the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to convene a special all party meeting to discuss on the results of Four Water Concept  – Watershed Management.

Giving power point presentation on ‘Four Waters Concept- Watershed Management’ at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, Marri posed several questions to the Chief Minister. Marri asked the Chief Minister whether the good results of watershed programs came to his notice or not. Whether KT Ramarao, who has worked as a Rural Development Minister, reviewed on the works  that took place in his department. Whether KTR observed the issue of availability of drinking water in the villages in which  watershed scheme was implemented  successfully?  Whether the government kept quiet thinking that commissions may not come if Mission Bhagiratha  funds were reduced?  Whether the news published in a Telugu newspaper on watershed came to the notice of the Chief Minister or not? Whether Chief Minister saw the news published and telecasted in his own newspaper and television channel on the success of watershed scheme in Rajasthan? Whether KCR  kept quiet even  after seeing the news on watershed programme,  thinking that they may not need  Bangaru Telangana?  Marri said that the government has the responsibility of giving answers to these questions.
