Johannesburg, Oct.19 : The International Council for Cricket (ICC) has confirmed that West Indies batsman Marlon Samuels has been reported for a suspect bowling action during the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle.
According to Sport24, the ICC said Samuels would now have to undergo testing within 14 days, but added that he would be permitted to continue with the bowling until the result of the test came out.
It was for the third time that the 34-year-old has been reported for bowling with a suspect action. He was earlier reported in 2008 and 2011.
The part-time spinner was subsequently banned from bowling quicker deliveries, but was allowed to continue with his standard off-break. (ANI)
