Maria: Best of Arshad Warsi is yet to come!

Mumbai, February 25: If you thought that Vishal Bhardwaj’s runway success, ISHQIYA, where Arshad Warsi essayed the character of a lovable goon, or Circuit of the MUNNA BHAI series were the best roles of Arshad Warsi’s career, you are certainly mistaken.

His wife Maria is confident that the best of Arshad Warsi is yet to come. Says Maria, “You haven’t seen the best of Arshad yet”.

The question then arises is whether the audience can look forward to a memorable act by Arshad Warsi in his own home production, HUM TUM AUR GHOST. The film (previously titled KAUN BOLA?) is a love story and at the same time a romantic comedy, starring Dia Mirza, Boman Irani and Sandhya Mridul. It’s being directed by Kabeer Kaushik of SEHAR fame which too had Arshad Warsi in the lead role.

As may be recalled, the critically acclaimed SEHAR helped establish Arshad Warsi as one of the better actors in Bollywood. The benevolent Arshad, rather than speaking about his own role or character in the film, is all praise for his MUNNABHAI co-star Boman Irani, who he says has done a fantastic job in the film and is confident that Boman’s character will definitely appeal to all.

Well, the success of ISHQIYA does auger well for Arshad’s first home production, HUM TUM AUR GHOST, which is set for a March 26th release.
