Hyderabad, January 18: As per the orders of the State Government on extending the Layout Penalisation Scheme by another three months, ie up to March 31, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has urged the citizens to avail the scheme and regularise their plots and layouts within the extended deadline.
Under the Layout Penalisation Scheme, HMDA has also already issued intimation letters to about 10,000 applicants informing them about the approval of their request and asking them to pay the balance penal amount within the stipulated period but many applicants have not yet remitted the balance penal amount, it is learnt. The details of such applicants are put up on the notice board of HMDA offices and also on the website www.hmda.gov.in.
As regards old cases in which HMDA has already sent acceptance letters at the request of the applicants, the payment date has now been extended till January 31, failing which the respective files will be closed and the initial penal amount paid shall be forfeited.
