Minority Welfare Department is responsible for taking care of Historical Makkah Masjid and Shahi Masjid Public Garden. There are several long pending problems to be solved in Makkah Masjid. The water sump constructed with the cost of Rs. 1 cr 30 lakh is still lying useless. Toilets also need reconstruction. 37 lakh rupees were spent for chemical cleaning but plants erupt in the walls. The marble grills fixed by Asif Jahi rulers in front of inner entrance of Makkah Masjid are in very precarious condition. Some look so precarious, as if one slight push would make them fall. Minority Welfare Department should seriously look into the matter.
