Maqsood Ahmed acquitted by court

Maqsood Ahmed, an alleged aide of slain HuJI commander Mohammed Abdul Shahed aka Bilal was acquitted by the fourth additional metropolitan session judge on Friday, in a terror conspiracy case.

It must be recalled that the city police commissioner’s Task Force sleuths had arrested Maqsood Ahmed, on April 1, 2007, an alleged activist of Darsgah-e-Jihad-o Shahadat, from Ujale Shah Eidgah grounds in Saidabad while he was imparting martial arts training to youth, on the charges of meeting Shahed Bilal in Saudi Arabia and hatching a conspiracy while on a pilgrimage to Holy places there.

However, since the prosecution failed to prove the charges in the court the fourth additional metropolitan session judge acquitted Maqsood Ahmed.
