Two personnel of paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) were injured when Maoists triggered a landmine blast in Malkangiri district of Odisha on Friday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pramod Kumar Bagh, said explosive went off when the BSF personnel were conducting a search after removing Maoist posters in the mountainous area.
“A blast took place when BSF personnel, who were patrolling, tried to remove a Maoist poster near Telarai Mountain. Two personnel were injured and they have been shifted to Malkangiri hospital,” Bagh said.
The injure d were airlifted to Malkangiri district hospital. The BSF has launched a combing operation to nab the ultras. (ANI)
