Maoists blow up JMM poll office in J’khand

Palamau, December 06: Suspected Maoists, who have given a poll boycott call, have blown up a campaign office of a JMM candidate in Jharkhand’s Bishrampur assembly constituency, police said today.

The assailants hurled bombs at the camp office of Jugal Pal, a former naxalite, at Pandu area last night, damaging it completely, they said.

Pal is presently lodged at Garwah jail.

The third phase poll to the 81-member Jharkhand assembly is slated for December 8 when eleven constituencies go to polls.
