Maoists triggered an explosion in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district today, leaving at least four people dead, including a security personnel, just four days before the insurgency-hit area is expected to vote for state elections.
According to the report published in the ndtv, three civilians and a soldier of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and were killed when an explosive device tore through a bus near Bacheli area.
The bus was deployed for poll duty, was blown up at Bacheli in the Naxal-hit district. This is the second attack in 10 days. Earlier, Naxals had attacked a Doordarshan crew in Dantewada in which the cameraman was killed in the attack.
The police in its statement said, “A bus carrying Central Industrial Security Force men was returning from Kirandul Dantewada market when an IED blast blew it up, killing four people”. Those injured in the attack and were rushed to a hospital in Bacheli.
