Patna, January 16: A Maoist leader has been arrested from Kankarbagh area here and Rs 18 lakh recovered from him, police said today.
Dwivendu Kumar Singh alias Subodh alias Anand, member of the Special Area Committee of the proscribed CPI(Maoist) was arrested last night in a joint operation by Special Task Force of Bihar police and Patna police, Deputy Superintendent of Police (STF) P K Sinha said.
Besides the money, naxal literature was recovered during the operation, Sinha said. Further investigations in the case are on.
